Polishing Solution for Curved Glass Using Composite 3D Polishing Pads


目前一般曲面玻璃的拋光是使用圓盤刷來進行拋光,但由於毛刷本身並不吸水,難以將拋光的漿料吸附於刷毛上,因此拋光時間與良率會有一定的限制性,所以我方將拋光皮(拋光面)結合橡膠墊(包覆性),以利拋光的進行。
 將聚氨酯拋光皮與PU塗佈拋光墊加上具有一定厚度的SBR橡膠墊片,並搭配氧化鈰拋光液,即可適用於曲面玻璃的拋光。
我方可針對曲面玻璃之不同曲度,設計不用的開槽方式及加上不同厚度的橡膠墊,以達到拋光曲面涵蓋之效果。

Currently, curved glass polishing is commonly performed using disc brushes. However, since the bristles are not water-absorbent, it is difficult for them to retain polishing slurry effectively, which limits both polishing efficiency and yield rate.

To address this, we have developed a composite polishing pad that combines a polyurethane (PU) polishing layer with an SBR rubber backing layer, providing both polishing capability and surface conformity. This structure enhances slurry retention and improves contact with curved surfaces, enabling more efficient polishing.

By integrating PU-coated polishing film, PU polishing leather, and an SBR rubber cushion of adjustable thickness, and using cerium oxide (CeO₂) polishing slurry, this system is highly suitable for curved glass applications.

We also offer customized grooving designs and rubber backing thickness options tailored to the curvature of the glass, ensuring optimal surface coverage and polishing performance across a variety of curved geometries.
